Hi Evert:
I'm working on the Bonnema stories and would you read this paragraph and correct as necessary?
The Netherlands had a compulsory military service and when a man reached the age of 18 years his name was drawn from a lottery and he was required to serve. They served for two years but furloughs were given, sometimes to help the family with the crops. In order to procure a passport it was required to fulfill the military obligation.
I tried Google but want to be sure my statement is correct.
